Description

Verre rempli préconditionné sous film plastique. Glass filled preconditioned in plastic film.
The field of the invention is that of preconditioned food products.
The invention relates more precisely to the packaging of beverages and in particular to the packaging of alcoholic beverages. The invention thus relates in particular, but not exclusively, to the packaging of wine. The invention may also apply to any type of drink, such as fruit juice, soda or the like.
The wines are mainly packaged in bottles, generally 75 cl, in glass or, for low-end wines in plastic. This type of packaging has the disadvantage bottle involve a rapid consumption of its contents, in order to avoid a degradation of the physical and organoleptic characteristics thereof. However, market studies on the consumption of wine, especially premium quality wine, have shown that many consumers, such as singles, buy little or no wine because of this drawback. There is therefore a need for packaging wine in small quantities. Note that already exists in the prior art packaging for soft drinks made of a plastic lens whose opening is lidded by a metal film or plastic intended to be removed just before consuming said drink. However, this type of plastic glass packaging is not suitable for consuming higher quality wine. The main objective of the present invention is to provide a new packaging of drinks in small quantities aimed at solving the problem mentioned above.
Another objective of the invention is to propose such packaging integrating a glass into glass (or any other equivalent material such as, for example, crystal). A complementary objective of the invention is to provide a consumer with the possibility of finding on the market the drink and in particular the wine he wishes dosed by the glass.
These objectives are achieved thanks to the invention which relates to a packaging for beverage characterized in that it consists of a glass at least partially filled by said drink and a plastic film cooperating with both the base and the opening of said glass in order to keep said drink sealed inside the glass. Thus, it is not necessary to use a heat-sealing of the cover on the glass. The invention is therefore essentially distinguished from the sealed glasses of the prior art mentioned above by the fact that the plastic film used cooperates with both the base of the glass and its opening.
Although it will be possible to envisage applying the invention to very good quality plastic glasses (such as P.E.T.), the glass used will preferably be a glass glass.
Ainsi, le consommateur pourra observer la robe du vin conditionné avant de consommer celui-ci.Also preferably, the glass used to produce such packaging will be a stemmed glass. The invention will therefore particularly find its application for the consumption of good quality wines under conditions corresponding to those of the traditional tableware. Advantageously, the plastic film used to produce the packaging according to the invention is transparent. Thus, the consumer will be able to observe the color of the conditioned wine before consuming it.
When the invention is implemented for the packaging of beverages such as fruit juice or sodas, the plastic film can advantageously be pierced using a straw.
When consuming the drink packaged in the packaging according to the invention, it may be envisaged to break the plastic film in several ways.
However, in order to carry out this operation delicately and thus to avoid splashing of said drink, this plastic film is preferably provided with at least one breaking line facilitating its opening.
According to a variant of the invention, said rupture line is provided under the base of said glass and is advantageously provided with at least one gripping tab making it possible to initiate the rupture of said line and thus the opening of the plastic film.
Preferably, said rupture line is provided under the base of said glass and is provided with two end tabs projecting from said base. To prevent the packaged product from leaking when the plastic film is opened, it is also possible to include in the packaging a cover, for example made of plastic or metallic material positioned on the opening of the glass under the plastic film. This cover will be removed after release of the plastic film and will prevent the liquid from flowing during this operation.
It will also be noted that the drink will preferably be vacuum-packed in the packaging according to the invention. This allows better sealing of the plastic film vis-à-vis the drink contained in said glass, as well as better conservation. Finally, the plastic film advantageously has at least one lateral opening, in which the gripping tab can project to facilitate the breaking of the plastic film.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description of two preferred embodiments of the invention, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the drawings in which: FIG. 1 represents a first preferred embodiment of a packaging according to the invention; Figure 2 shows a bottom view of the packaging shown in Figure 1; - Figure 3 shows a sectional view of a second preferred embodiment of a packaging according to the invention.
Generally and as shown in FIG. 1, the first embodiment of the packaging according to the invention comprises a stem glass 1 made of glass containing approximately 25 cl of a wine of superior quality and a transparent film 2 made of cooperating polyethylene both with the opening 1a and the base 1b of the glass 1 so as to form a sealed vacuum packaging and to prevent any flow of the wine contained in the glass.
The plastic film 2 is arranged around the glass and has lateral openings 2a, 2b. As can be seen in Figure 2, the plastic film 2 has a line of rupture 4 provided under the base of the glass 1 and terminated at its ends by tongues 4a, 4b projecting into the lateral openings 2a and 2b.
When the consumer wishes to consume the wine packaged in such a package, it suffices to tear the plastic film 2 by pulling on one of the tab 4a and or 4b and to remove this plastic film. The filled glass can then be presented directly on a table. The tabs 4a, 4b protruding into the lateral openings 2a, 2b, their gripping is facilitated.
Figure imgf000006_0001
The second embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 1 differs from the first embodiment by the presence of a lid 5 closing the opening of the glass 1 and
Figure imgf000006_0001
film 2. Such a cover can be removed after the plastic film has been removed and prevents the conditioned liquid from flowing along the outer edge of the glass upon opening. -
The embodiment of the invention described here is not intended to reduce the scope of the invention. Many modifications can therefore be made without departing from its scope. In particular, it will be noted that the glass may have another shape and that the line of rupture of the film may be provided in another location than that indicated.
