Abstract

L'invention a trait à un procédé de production de phosphates acides de métal alcalin à solubilité non congruente dans le cadre d'un processus de cristallisation de solution par incorporation d'une solution de lavage à base de phosphate. Cette solution accroît la pureté du produit en enlevant l'acide libre captif de la surface des cristaux de phosphate à solubilité non congruente. Le lavage améliore ainsi les propriétés physiques des cristaux, notamment leur capacité hygrométrique et leurs caractéristiques de manoeuvrabilité. Cette solution de lavage au phosphate réduit de manière significative la quantité de cristaux dissous au cours de l'étape de lavage et, partant, facilite la récupération et ce, en comparaison des résultats obtenus au moyen des techniques habituelles de lavage de cristaux. L'invention porte, de surcroît, sur une technique de cristallisation de solution aux fins de la production de cristaux de phosphate à solubilité non congruente à cation mixte. Le procédé fait intervenir un mélange réactionnel dont le volume molaire théorique de phosphore nécessaire au sel phosphate à solubilité non congruente est excédentaire. La surface du cristal est alors débarrassée de l'acide libre captif du volume excédentaire de phosphore à l'aide d'une solution à base de phosphate.
