Abstract
Il est possible d'usiner avec une grande précision et à grande vitesse les surfaces intérieures et extérieures d'un élément creux présentant des courbures non circulaires. L'appareil d'usinage cyclique utilisé à cet effet comporte un moyen d'entraînement (54) autour de l'axe C portant l'élément creux à ses deux extrémités et le faisant tourner, un moyen d'entraînement pour l'usinage intérieur (98), et un moyen d'entraînement pour l'usinage extérieur (78), qui tous deux déplacent linéairement un outil de coupe de la surface intérieure et un outil de coupe de la surface extérieure respectivement selon l'axe des U et l'axe des X, lesdits axes étant synchronisés avec l'angle de rotation de l'axe des C pour l'usinage des surfaces intérieures et extérieures. L'appareil comporte en outre: une unité d'élaboration des valeurs de commande (103) des axes des X et des U qui les émet en synchronisme avec l'axe des C pendant l'usinage; des unités de calcul (110, 120) des écarts respectifs des positions des axes des X et des U; des unités didactiques de commande (111, 121) de l'axe des X et de l'axe des U qui apprennent les valeurs de commande de correction ramenant à zéro les susdits écarts, puis les stockent et les transmettent en synchronisme avec l'axe des C; et des unités totalisatrices pour l'axe des X et pour l'axe des U (112, 122) additionnant les valeurs respectives de commande de correction et les écarts de position des axes, les totaux obtenus constituant des ordres de vitesse donnés aux moyens d'entraînement des outils d'usinage de la surface intérieure et de la surface extérieure.
