Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet l'utilisation d'un polypeptide comprenant au moins 6 acides aminés continus de la séquence telle que montrée dans les identificateurs de séquence 1 à 5 à titre de récepteur et/ou co-récepteur cellulaire des adénovirus. Elle concerne également l'utilisation d'une cellule capable d'exprimer un tel polypeptide ainsi que celle d'un ligand capable d'influencer l'attachement d'un adénovirus à une cellule hôte et/ou son entrée au sein de ladite cellule hôte. Enfin, elle a également trait à une méthode pour sélectionner ou identifier un récepteur cellulaire d'un virus ou la partie d'une protéine virale déterminant l'attachement du virus à son récepteur cellulaire ainsi qu'à l'utilisation d'un ligand bifonctionnel pour cibler un adénovirus vers une cellule hôte portant à sa surface une protéine de surface autre que le récepteur cellulaire naturel dudit adénovirus.
