Abstract

A device for preventing ladder accidents by fastening a ladder to tubular or rectangular members at any angle. The device consists of a ladder-engaging portion (1) within which the ladder upright may be locked by manually tightening a thumbscrew (2) extending through a cylindrical tube (6) secured to a clamp (3) that is fitted around a tubular or rectangular member (10) by means of a screw (4) on which a thumbnut (7) is tightened. The device is particularly suitable for use by building and construction workers.

Le dispositif selon notre invention se fixe manuellement et sans outils spéciaux aux structures d'échafaudages ou garde-corps (10) entre le niveau du plancher ( 1 1 ) et la partie supérieure du garde-corps prévus et mis en place d'après les normes de sécurité en vigueur. Par ailleurs, le dispositif selon notre invention peut s'utiliser, en raison de sa dissymétrie, dans tous les sens quelques soient la position et l'inclinaison de l'échelle placée par rapport à la structure et inversement.
