The follower (16) comprises a box-shaped housing (20) containing two pairs of rotating rollers (21) with a contour complementary to that of the rail (17), whereby the rail is slidable between and supported by the rollers. The rail (17) is joined to a connecting rod (26) coupled to a vehicle steering member so that when the steering member is pivoted, the rail (17) moves through the housing (20) and pivots the front wheel (11).

The follower member 55 is formed by a sliding carriage 58 provided with four rolling bearings 59 arranged to be introduced into the profile 57 of the slide 56. The door 51 of the vehicle 52 is rendered integral with the sliding carriage 58. The opening of this door 51 is assisted by a jack 60 which supports the load when it is in the opening or closing phase. The shape and curvature of the slide 56 determines the position of a fictitious pivot axis 61 around which the door pivots. This axis can be placed outside the vehicle, which allows the creator of automobile models to overcome limiting technical constraints. REVENDICATIONS
