Abstract

Une mémoire selon l'invention se raccorde à un système informatique standard et communique avec un bus de ce système, et peut réceptionner, mémoriser et extraire des données destinées à une unité de disques magnétiques. Cette mémoire comprend: une mémoire principale; une antémémoire; un dispositif tampon de transfert de bloc conçu pour stocker 512 octets de données; une interface conçue pour réceptionner et stocker des adresses, des données et commander des informations provenant du système informatique; une table de consultation conçue pour stocker un bloc d'adresses physiques correspondant à chaque adresse envoyée par le système informatique, et pour indiquer si le block d'adresses physiques est destiné à l'antémémoire ou à la mémoire principale; une mémoire supplémentaire conçue pour stocker des informations sur les adresses de l'antémémoire, et également de la mémoire principale, qui sont inutilisées et appropriées pour l'écriture; un dispositif de commande permettant d'accéder à un bloc dans la table de consultation à l'aide de l'adresse envoyée par le système informatique, et de déterminer une addresse d'un bloc correspondant au format d'addresse standard.
