Abstract
Un système d'échappement pour un moteur Diesel comprend un catalyseur (4) et au moins un silencieux à chicanes (6, 8) reliés l'un à l'autre et au moteur (1) par des tuyaux (3, 5, 6). Les parois intérieures des tuyaux de liaison et des tuyaux (10, 11, 12) situés dans le silencieux à chicanes présentent une rugosité d'au maximum 1 νm, obtenue par exemple par enduction des parois intérieures avec de l'aluminium ou par émaillage. L'accumulation de particules pendant le fonctionnement sous une charge partielle et l'émission de fumée pendant l'accélération qui s'ensuit sont ainsi considérablement réduites.
