Le jeu d'arcade est équipé d'un dispositif d'autorisation (1) permettant à un joueur de jouer sur le système. Le dispositif d'autorisation comprend un dispositif d'identification (4) et un organe d'entrée (6) raccordé audit dispositif d'identification afin de permettre l'introduction d'un code personnel déterminé en fonction, par exemple, des empreintes digitales du joueur, et le système est équipé d'un dispositif (7) de lecture de la carte d'autorisation de jeu et d'un organe comparateur (8) assurant la comparaison du code enregistré dans la carte d'autorisation et du code introduit par l'intermédiaire d'un clavier. Lorsqu'une correspondance est constatée, et, le cas échéant, que le contrôle et l'enregistrement d'une somme d'argent introduite sont effectués, un signal de validation est produit. Le dispositif d'autorisation (1) renferme une mémoire de stockage des données statistiques et de contrôle, en plus des données relatives au chiffre d'affaires et aux bénéfices résultant de l'exploitation du jeu d'arcade.
