Description
Sac étanche pour Baigneur Waterproof Bag for Bather
The present invention relates to a waterproof bag for keeping with you, when swimming, wallet, keys, watch or other small objects.
To keep silver, papers, watches or keys on you and away from moisture, rigid cases are used closed by means of covers, the seal being obtained by a seal inserted between the case and the cover. The assembly is held on the bather by means of a belt or a cord. By their rigidity, their volume and the air they enclose, these boxes tend to float and hinder the bather in his movements.
The product according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. It is in fact made up of a flexible and waterproof bag which can be opened or closed by means of a fluid-tight zipper system. A belt allows to fix it around the waist or hips of the user. After having inserted in the bag various objects such as a wallet, a watch, keys or other small objects, and having closed this one, a valve authorizing the exit of the air, but preventing it the entry, allows to empty the bag of air it contains. This by pressure exerted on the bag or by suction by. the mouth. Then, the user can close the valve with a plug. This will be fixed on the bag so as not to constitute discomfort for the user, at the level of the tan, or by friction which can cause these skin irritations. The valve can be designed and fixed on the bag so as not to take up space on the interior volume of the bag, useful for storage. Thus prepared, the bag has a reduced volume. In addition, it does not tend to go up the body towards the surface when it is immersed in water. It remains flexible and does not obstruct the movements of its user. The bag provided with its belt may have opaque parts allowing to conceal the nature of the objects contained, as well as transparent parts allowing the tanning of the areas of the body of the user covered by the bag and its. belt. The bag may have a transparent window allowing the time to be read on a watch inserted in the bag without having to open it. The bag can advantageously have a front face that is less deformable than its rear face, this essentially to deform the deformation due to the vacuum prevailing in the bag on the rear face. The front side will thus reveal less the nature of the objects contained in the bag and being smoother, will promote its aesthetics.
According to a preferred embodiment, the bag is produced by means of two sheets of plastic or of sealed fabric cut to the shape of the bag and welded against each other by their edges, by gluing, thermo-gluing or any other waterproof assembly technique. The belt is an extension of the bag. The Front panel has a waterproof zipper. It may also, while remaining flexible, be less deformable than the rear face, this by a greater thickness or the use of a different material. The valve may be fixed against one face of the bag, it will advantageously be fixed on the rear face in its lower part and offset to one side. It can be molded so as to present at the bottom thereof two lips facing outwards from the valve. An incision made between the two lips will allow them to function like flaps.
According to a variant, the evacuation of the air contained in the bag can be obtained by means of a vacuum pump. The body of this pump can be fixed to the bag, the end of the piston to the belt, such that successive pulls carried out on the bag on the belt, actuate the piston, a return spring allowing the piston to regain its original position.
Figure 1 shows the product according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows in section a valve, component of the product. Figure 3 shows in section a vacuum pump according to a variant of the invention.
The product shown in Figure 1 includes a flexible bag (1) having sufficient dimensions to contain a wallet, keys, a watch and some other small items. It should, as much as possible, if it is superimposed on the front of a swimsuit not to overflow it. The shape of the swimsuits can vary, the edges of the bag can be made of transparent material to promote the tan of the user. An opaque zone (7) can be used to conceal the nature of the objects contained in the bag. A transparent window (8) will allow the time to be read on a watch inserted in the bag. At the ends of this bag can be attached a belt (2) provided with a fastening system (5) and adjustment (6), the assembly can advantageously be made of transparent materials. The front face of the bag may be less deformable than the rear face by a greater thickness or the use of a different material. It may include a waterproof zipper (3). Against the rear face, at the bottom and on one side, and concealed by the opaque zone (7) of the front face, a valve (4) can be fixed. Connected to it, Figure 2, by means of a tongue (10), a plug (9) will allow the valve to be closed. This may include two lips (11) and (12) directed towards the inside of the valve. An incision made between the two lips will allow them to function as valves, allowing air to exit the bag, but preventing its return.
According to a variant in the embodiment of the product shown in Figure 3, a vacuum pump replaces the valve (4). It consists of a pump body (13) attached to the bag (1) so as to be able to suck the air contained therein through a valve (14). Another valve (15) allows the air to be expelled outside. The end of the piston (16) is attached to the belt (2). A return spring (17) allows the piston to return to its original position following a traction carried out on the belt or the bag.
