  • the oil is preferably removed from the brush plates in the same way as described in WO 90/12157 by wiping means, whereafter the oil can be pumped away via a line connected to a coupling, such as a nearby vessel; alternatively, the oil is collected in oil bags or in a separate oil tank.
  • Water falling down from the brushes can flow away through openings provided in the side walls of the brush unit and preferably positioned essentially similarly as disclosed in WO 90/12157.

Abstract

L'invention décrit un nouveau système d'écumage de pétrole polyvalent et comprenant au moins un ensemble de brosses rotatives, pourvues de moyens d'écumage du pétrole, ainsi qu'un réservoir servant à recueillir le pétrole écumé. L'ensemble de brosses rotatives est monté dans un élément central (1) situé entre deux flotteurs (2) longitudinaux. L'élément central (1) peut être équilibré verticalement et horizontalement par rapport aux flotteurs (2).
