Abstract

The short-ski-like sports article described has board-like rear (10), centre (11) and front (12) sections, the front section being curbed upwards. Fitted on the upper surface of the centre section (11) is a device (binding) designed to hold the shoe of the user. The invention relates to a short ski-like sports device with a board-like rear, middle and front section, the latter being bent upward like a blade like a ski, a device for fixing the shoe of a user mountable on the top of the middle section and on the A tread made of plastic or the like material is formed on the underside of both the rear and the middle and front sections.

Short skis are primarily used for trick skiing, with the typical length of short skis for adults being 130, 140 or 150 cm. Skis of this type are offered as "ballet skis" or "free style skis". Special deep snow skis also have a length of only 130 cm or 140 cm. They have been specially developed for mountaineers and trough riders.

REPLACEMENT LEAF At the other extreme are the so-called "firng gliders" or "Figl", which have a standard size of 63 cm. Their width corresponds to that of a normal alpine ski. This also applies to the blade formed at the front end and the rear end. The two side edges are each formed in a straight line. As a rule, firing gliders are produced in a so-called compound sandwich construction, as is also common for alpine skis.

Firng gliders are, as the name suggests, particularly well suited for skiing on firn snow. In addition, especially for descending slopes, snow gliders are practically unmanageable because they lack any directional stability.

The present invention has for its object to provide a sports device which is in terms of length between the short ski on the one hand and the firng glider on the other hand and which is characterized both by high turning ability and directional stability, so that it is versatile, especially for Beginners in a wide variety of snow conditions.

This object is achieved by the combination of the characteristic features in combination with the features of the preamble of claim 1. Accordingly, the waistline of the central section is important for solving the task, and secondly the somewhat longer length compared to a firing glider and the claimed length-width ratio, the width always being due to the specified ratio to the length is larger than the width of a conventional ski or glider. On the one hand, the stressed length-width ratio conveys a high level of stability, which is particularly important for beginners; on the other hand, it is not a hindrance; on the contrary, it increases the ease of turning and thus the fun of _S et up instrument. Accordingly, the claimed dimensioning and shape represent an ideal compromise with which a new type of sports device is created, which appeals to both beginners and top-level ski guides.

The objectives according to the invention are additionally promoted by the dimensioning measures according to claims 2 to 5 and 15 to 20, whereby, as an alternative to the measures according to claim 5, the middle section according to claim 9 can be biased or arched downwards or slightly. With this construction, an even greater turning ability is obtained without significantly influencing the directional stability. In view of the fact that it is a new type of sports device that promotes the enjoyment of sport, the front section preferably represents the replica of the front end of a human or animal foot. The rear face is preferably rounded off approximately semicircularly in plan view. This measure also contributes to the increased turning ability without the directional stability being lost.

The new type of sports device can thus be driven similarly to a short ski on the one hand and a firing glider on the other, with regard to its driving characteristics it lies clearly between these two extremes and is therefore also much more versatile, in particular also as a water ski set.
