Description

The invention relates to a short ski for one foot of a skier according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a ski is e.g. B. is known from CH-A-504 877 or US-A-3,854,739. This type of ski is also called "firng glider" or "Figl". A "firng glider" or "Figl" has a length of 65 cm to 75 cm with a width of approximately 11.5 cm to 12.5 cm which is approximately constant over the length. Accordingly, the ratio of width to length is between 0.15 and 0.19. As a rule, firing gliders are manufactured in a so-called compound sandwich construction, which is also common for alpine skis. The production from all-plastic or aluminum is also known. "Firngleiter" or "Figl" are, as the name suggests, particularly well suited for skiing on firn snow. Otherwise, especially for skiing on slopes, snow gliders are practically unmanageable because they lack any directional stability.

A custom-fitted alpine ski is known from CA-A-1,201,480. The well-known waist with a radius of several meters leads to almost straight sides with a short ski of the type in question, with the result that the short ski lacks any directional stability. With such a ski, it is practically impossible to swing in a conventional manner.

In CH-A-595,118 a slalom ski is described, the blade of which is asymmetrical in order to reduce the risk of threading on the gate bars. The well-known ski is specially designed for slalom sports.

Finally, from DE-A-3,200,383 an alpine ski is known, the shovel of which is provided with a plurality of longitudinal slots in order to improve the guiding properties when driving at an angle.

The present invention has for its object to provide a short ski of the type mentioned, which is characterized both by high turning ability and high directional stability, so that it is versatile, especially for beginners in a variety of snow conditions.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of patent claim 1. Accordingly, the waist of the middle section is important for solving the task. Despite the extreme shortness of the ski, this ensures a high level of directional stability with a high degree of turning and vibration. It is surprising that the relatively simple measure of a pronounced waist gives the aforementioned advantage.

The asymmetrical blade is also important. This allows the front section of the ski to roll when walking or running normally on a non-slippery surface, similar to the rolling of the human foot. Furthermore, by shifting the tip of the blade inwards, the inner edge is lengthened relative to that of a conventional "glider" of the same length, which results in significantly better skiing properties, in particular smooth running of the ski with a comparatively short length. Furthermore, by extending the shovel tips inwards when skiing in the snow, both skis are pushed inwards by the snow, ie towards one another in a narrow parallel position. This also contributes to an improved driving quality.

Advantageous design and further developments of the ski according to the invention are described in the subclaims, the measures according to claim 2 should also be particularly emphasized. The rear section, which is rounded in a semicircular shape in plan view, also contributes quite considerably to the turning ability of the ski, with a reserve the rounded rear edge can be driven without impairing the ability to turn.

Accordingly, the claimed dimensions and shape represent an ideal compromise, with which a new type of sports equipment is created, which appeals to both beginners and top skiers.

Finally, of particular importance are the measures according to claim 9, according to which the front, blade-like upwardly curved section has at least one cut extending approximately in the longitudinal direction of the ski, the individual blade sections being able to be set differently with regard to the bending stiffness.

The features of claim 16 are of particular importance for running on non-slippery ground on the one hand and sliding snow on the other. These measures ensure both sufficient rigidity for driving on snow and sufficient bending elasticity for running on non-slippery surfaces.

The new type of ski can be driven similarly to a short ski on the one hand and a "fir glider" on the other hand, whereby its skiing characteristics lie clearly between these two extremes and is therefore also much more versatile.

Fig. 2
a ski of FIG. 1 in side view.

Accordingly, the short ski shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a board-like rear section 10, middle section 11 and front section 12, the latter being bent upward like a shovel, similar to conventional alpine and / or cross-country skis. On the top of the middle section 11, a device or binding (not shown in more detail) for fixing the shoe of a user can be mounted, in a region 13 which, according to FIG. 2, directly adjoins the ski body in two approximately equal front and rear Halves dividing dividing line towards the rear section 10 connects. A conventional alpine binding or a touring binding can be used as binding. It is also conceivable to mount a binding that is suitable for fixing both firm ski boots and flexible hiking boots.

A tread 14 made of plastic, in particular polyethylene, polyamide or mixtures thereof, is formed on the underside of both the rear and the middle and front sections 10, 11, 12. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the sides 15, 16 of the central section 11 are designed to be tailored.

Eine besonders geeignete Länge ist 64,0 bis 65,0 cm.The maximum projection length "L", ie the maximum length in plan view projection, is between approximately 63 cm to approximately 80 cm, in particular between approximately 70 cm and approximately 75 cm. A particularly suitable length is 64.0 to 65.0 cm.

As can also be seen in FIG. 1, the ratio between the minimum width "B", which corresponds to the maximum waist in the central section 11, and the maximum length "L" is approximately 0.12 to approximately 0.23, in particular approximately 0.13 to about 0.16. In the embodiment shown, the front section 12 is the section of maximum width, while the width of the rear section 10 lies between the minimum width "B" in the area of the middle section 11 and the maximum width in the area of the front section 12. In one embodiment, the maximum width of the front section 12 is approximately 12 to 14 cm, in particular approximately 13 cm, while the width of the rear section 10 is approximately 10 to 12 cm, in particular approximately 11 cm.

The center waisted section 11 has a length which here corresponds to approximately 75% of the total projection length "L". This dimensioning has also proven to be particularly useful.

As can be seen in FIG. 2, the middle section 11 is prestressed upward, so that in the unloaded state the tread 14 is at a certain distance "H" from the flat floor 17, in the order of magnitude of 1.0 to 6.0 mm , in particular about 2.0 mm.

The front section 12, which is curved like a shovel, comprises 5 "toes", a longer incision 19 being formed between the three larger "toes" and extending approximately in the longitudinal direction of the ski. This creates a kind of multi-flexible tip or scoop. The incisions 19 can also be formed up to the "toe roots". The two smaller "toes" can be combined into a single larger, namely wider "toe".

Laterally, the tread 14 is limited by steel edges, not shown.

As already explained above, the middle section 11 can also be biased flat or slightly (1 to 4 mm) downwards or curved. This makes the ski particularly easy to turn and particularly suitable for beginners. The tread 14 can also have at least one longitudinal guide groove in a manner known per se in order to increase the directional stability. In principle, however, such a longitudinal guide groove can be dispensed with due to the waist of the middle section 11. For this purpose, at least the inner side (here page 16) of the middle section 11 in the assembled state is designed to be waisted or concave.

Schnee verhindert.1, the rear section 10 is rounded off approximately semicircular in plan view. Furthermore, the rear section 10 is slightly bent upwards. This prevents jamming in the ground or snow when swinging or "dancing".

According to FIG. 1, the middle section 11 is fitted symmetrically, the radius of the waist increasing in the direction from the front 12 to the rear section 10. The side waist of the central section 11 is defined by two radii R1 and R2, the radius R2 of the part of the lateral boundary of the central section adjoining the rear section 10 being larger, in particular almost twice as large as the radius R1 of the front section Section 12 adjacent part of the lateral boundary of the middle section 11.

The radius R3 or R4 of both the upwardly curved front section 12 and the upwardly curved rear section 10 is approximately 20 to 30 cm, in particular approximately 20 to 24 cm.

The distance of the free end of the upwardly bent section 12 from the flat floor 17 is approximately 3.0 to 4.0 cm, in particular approximately 3.5 cm, while the distance of the rear section 10 from the flat floor 17 is approximately 1.0 to 1 , 5 cm.

Der Radius R5 des halbkreisförmigen Endes des hinteren Abschnitts 10 beträgt etwa 5,0 cm bis 7,0 cm, insbesondere etwa 5,5 cm.The radius R5 of the semicircular end of the rear section 10 is approximately 5.0 cm to 7.0 cm, in particular approximately 5.5 cm.

The rear 10 and front section 12 have a bending stiffness in the vertical longitudinal plane, which is in each case at most half as large as the corresponding bending stiffness of the middle section 11, so that both a sufficient stiffness for driving on snow and a sufficiently large bending flexibility for the Running on hard surfaces is guaranteed.

Finally, Fig. 1 shows that the front portion 12 is asymmetrical in plan view, such that the most forwardly extending tip or "toe" is moved laterally inwards, to the extent that it is approximately at the level of the maximum waist of the inner side 16 of the middle section 11.
