Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés de production d'acide lactique, d'esters de l'acide lactique, d'acide acrylique et d'esters de l'acide acrylique essentiellement à partir de matériaux d'hydrates de carbone fermentables. Un procédé global de production d'esters de l'acide acrylique comprend: a) la fermentation du matériau d'hydrate de carbone avec un organisme de formation d'acide lactique en présence de NH3 pour produire du lactate d'ammonium; b) la combinaison du lactate d'ammonium avec un alcool; c) la combinaison du lactate d'ammonium et de l'alcool avec une quantité effective de catalyse de CO2 gazeux pour esterifier de manière catalytique le lactate d'ammonium et l'alcool en une solution contenant l'ester d'acide lactique; d) la récupération de l'ester d'acide lactique purifié; e) la vaporisation de l'ester d'acide lactique et son passage au travers d'un lit catalyseur solide constitué d'une quantité de catalyse effective de sulphate de calcium cristallin hydraté et partiellement calciné pour convertir catalytiquement l'ester d'acide lactique en un ester d'acide acrylique. L'étape 'd' serait utile dans un procédé de production d'acide lactique purifié de faibles coûts. De même, l'étape (e) serait utile dans un procédé de production d'acide acrylique purifié de faibles coûts.
