  • the groove 58 extends between the side members 64A, 64B and preferably is arranged in the centre of the base plate 60.
  • the front edge member 68 is of such a height that the handling of the books is not interfered with, at the same time as the books are prevented from sliding off the base plate 60.
  • the upper, rear comer portions of the book-tray are provided with hooks in the form of down- wardly bent lugs 70A, 70B.

  • an industrial magnet 72 is mounted in the groove 58.

  • extensive tests have shown that, even if not locked, the display stand does not move even in the event of jerky driving.
  • the magnetism acting on the book supports in combination with the small front edge member of the book- tray effectively keep the books in position, although the base plate is horizontal.
  • the inventive display stand is especially useful in a new type of vehicle for visiting library activities, where, if required, it will be possible to rearrange the display stands, thereby forming a large free surface for carrying out reading of fairy-tales, exhibitions, conferences etc.

Abstract

Présentoir comprenant au moins 2 montants de support (4, 6) allongés, verticaux, ainsi qu'une pluralité d'étagères mobiles fixées auxdits montants de support (4, 6) et supportées par ceux-ci. Ledit présentoir est caractérisé en ce que les extrémités inférieures des montants de support sont reliées et sont supportées par un support de base (12). Un cadre de support (28) doté de roulettes (24, 6) est agencé au-dessous du support de base (12) et un mécanisme excentrique actionné manuellement est monté entre le côté inférieur du support de base (12) et le côté supérieur du cadre de support (28).
