Abstract

L'installation décrite comprend un réservoir (9) rotatif monté sur charnières, à l'intérieur duquel se trouve une cuvette (11), dont la partie supérieure est ouverte et est tournée vers la jointure à souder, raccordé à une unité d'alimentation destinée à acheminer du fondant (10) à ladite cuvette. Ledit réservoir (9) comporte un entraînement mécanique commandé (28), assurant sa rotation autour d'un axe (8) sur lequel il est monté. Par ladite cuvette (11) passe la buse du chalumeau de soudage (20), un dispositif de formage (23) étant monté sur une suspension, de manière à pouvoir s'incliner dans les plans longitudinaux et transversaux. L'installation comprend en outre un régulateur de la pression du lit de fondant, pour lequel on utilise ledit entraînement mécanique commandé (28), afin de mettre ledit réservoir en rotation, au circuit duquel sont connectés, par l'intermédiaire d'une unité de comparaison (31), un capteur (29) de la pression du fondant dans ledit réservoir, lequel est situé dans ladite cuvette (11), sensiblement au niveau de sa partie supérieure ouverte, le long de son axe longitudinal et à proximité de la buse du chalumeau (20), ainsi qu'un capteur (30) de la hauteur de l'épaississement du côté inférieur de la jointure de soudage (17), monté dans le dispositif de formage (23), à proximité de sa face terminale arrière, et orienté le long de l'axe longitudinal de ce dernier (23). On peut utiliser l'invention pour souder des jointures annulaires longitudinales et courbées.
