Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de blanchiment de pâte de cellulose obtenue à partir de bois dur, dans lequel on utilise un produit chimique de blanchiment contenant du chlore. La caractéristique essentielle de l'invention est que l'on réduit la teneur résiduelle en chlore de la pâte blanchie en soumettant ladite pâte à un traitement enzymatique. L'utilisation de l'enzyme active l'élimination à partir de ladite pâte, de substances d'extraction liant le chlore et présentes dans la pâte de bois dur. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation d'enzymes permettant de diminuer la teneur résiduelle en chlore de pâte de cellulose blanchie fabriquée à partir de bois dur. On a notamment prévu une pâte de cellulose transformée en carton ou en papier d'emballage de produits alimentaires, dont on se débarrasse habituellement en les brûlant. Une teneur en chlore diminuée réduit le risque de production de dioxine toxique lors de la phase d'incinération.
