In addition to the above enumerated advantages of scoring a single layer of metal and avoiding premature damage to residual scoreline metal, the rivet button formation and riveting actions are carried out without interfering with the metal folding or scoring operations.

Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un couvecle d'extrémité à ouverture complète et de maniement aisé (27) pourvu d'un bourrelet absorbant les chocs (45) et situé à l'intérieur d'une ligne de portour incisée (34), laquelle définie le disque de paroi d'extrémité (31) qui est amovible à partir d'un panneau de paroi d'extrémité creux (49). Une ligne incisée arrière en forme d'arc présentant une partie d'évent centrale (36) et des segments (37, 38) est ménagée à l'intérieur du disque amovible (31) et coopère avec un ouvre-boîte longitudinalement rigide (non percé) (30) qui est rendu solidaire avec le couvercle par un rivet (32) formé avec la tôle du disque (31). Un repli en tôle multicouche (40) protège le bord brut du métal résiduel qui reste avec le disque (31) une fois rompue la ligne de pourtour incisée; et un repli en tôle multicouche (42) protège le métal de bord brut restant avec la boîte (94). La partie centrale (36) de la ligne incisée arrière est contiguë et tournée vers l'intérieur dans un sens radial par rapport au rivet (32) et la paire de segments (37, 38) s'étend avec un élément dirigé radialement sur les deux côtés du rivet en direction de la partie adjacente de la jointure périphérique de type jable (92). Les segments (37, 38) coupent le repli multicouche (40), formant ainsi une corde (88, 90) de longueur préselectionnée, autour de laquelle l'ouvre-boîte (30) tourne de façon à sectionner la ligne de pourtour incisée (34) par une action de levier continue.
