- the rotary offset printing allows printing without pressure on virtually all surfaces. Offset inks must meet a very large number of physicochemical constraints and have defined flow, coloring and drying on the support, they must without accident play their role of hydrophobic substances in dynamic equilibrium with water and the plate.
- the offset process has taken place among the major printing processes.
- this process has an important drawback: the surfaces thus treated and pressed have after drying an absolutely uniform relief. If one wishes to obtain a less uniform, more heterogeneous, more artistically decorated surface, it is necessary, in accordance with currently known techniques, to resort to complicated and costly processes such as, for example, the mechanical deformations of the support. It is also necessary that the different supports and surfaces can withstand these different mechanical stresses. Other techniques such as flocking, the use of inks containing swelling agents or a succession of a plurality of prints on the silk screen give disappointing results or are economically very expensive or cannot be applied only on perfectly flat surfaces.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a relief offset printing method which better meets the needs of the practice than the methods aiming at the same object previously known, in particular in that it allows to obtain reliefs of a variety as large as desired, in that it can be applied to all surfaces and on all materials and in that it is simple, easy and economical to execute.
- the subject of the present invention is a method for modifying the surface condition of various materials and in particular a relief offset printing method, characterized in that a plurality of inks or varnishes are used simultaneously typo-offset, serigraphy or offset having different temperatures and polymerization rates, in that a pre-drying is carried out at an appro- priate temperature.
- inks and varnishes are chosen according to the nature of the material whose surface must be modified. The different loads can be applied in one or more operations. The modification of the surface condition is easily carried out and the decorative effects obtained - in particular for packaging - are truly extraordinary.

- the filler particles are taken from the group which comprises mica, expanded mica, pearlescent base, expandable plastic foam, colloidal silica, metal powders, cork powder, agents bulking agents, flocking particles or flocs, leather powder, plastic powder, asbestos powder, rubber powder, glass microbeads, luminescent or phosphorescent products, etc.
