These sockets thus comprise, from one edge to the other of the joint, an arrangement of contact tongues or strips and of locking tongues cut from the ferrule. But the cutouts are such that the contact tabs or strips and the locking tabs are either arranged successively along the bushing, which makes it possible to give them good mechanical strength but requires considerable space, or are placed side by side at mime level, which gives a reduced bulk, but is accompanied by precarious mechanical strength.
