Abstract
La invención consiste en un método para la fabricación de cementos a base de sulfoaluminato de calcio, el cual consiste en la formación de un clinker mediante la calcinación de las materias primas a temperaturas superiores a 1200 ºC, de tal manera que el clinker producido tenga un alto contenido de sulfoaluminato de calcio, silicato tricálcico y silicato dicálcico y, durante o previa a la etapa de molienda, adicionar al clinker así producido y con los componentes básicos antes mencionados cantidades óptimas de oxido o hidróxido de calcio y sulfato de calcio a fin de activar dicho clinker. En dicha molienda deberá observarse una temperatura de aproximadamente 100 a 125 ªC y un tiempo suficiente para convertir el yeso en hemihidrato con lo que se logrará que el sulfato de calcio presente en el producto así obtenido se encuentre en condiciones de reaccionar rápidamente durante la hidratación del cemento, dando lugar a la formación de la etringita, requiriéndose para ello la presencia de un pH superior a 12.
