` To all whom it may concer/n Be it known that I, STEPHEN R. PINGKNEY, of the city, county, and State of New York, haveinvented a new, useful, and original Design for Glass Jars, of which the following is a specification:

The nature of my design is fully set forth in the following description, and is represented in the accompanying photographic illustrations, to which reference is made.

Figure 1 is a view of the jar with its cap and threaded ring in place, and Fig. 2 is a view of the same with its cap and threaded ring removed.

In the illustrations, A represents the body of the jar from its base to its screw-threaded upper portion; B, the screw-threaded upper portion of the jar; 0, the cap or cover ofthe jar, and D the screw-threaded ring which wholly or partially covers the screw-threaded upper portion of the jar.

The body of the jar is cylindrical in shape,

The body and cap or cover of the jarA may be marked and ornamented with letters, ligures, symbols, and designs blown in the glass,

to suit the fancy or use of thi maker or user.

What is hereby claimed is` The shape of a glass jar, the body of which y is cylindrical, and the neck ot' which is cylindrical, screw-threaded, and substantially ush with the body. Y
