DESIGN FOR GLASSWARE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,915, dated April 17, 1877; application filed March 29,1877. [Term of Patent 7 years] To all when; it may concern Be it known that 1, JAMES B. LYON, of Pittsburg, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have originated and Designed a new Pattern and Form for Glassware, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 is a side elevation ot'a bottle known in the trade as decanter, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section of the same at the dotted line-y of Fig. 1.
The contour of my new design for bottles is clearly shown in the accompanying drawings. lhe body of the bottle is made ornamental by its outer wall representing a pyramid constructed of prismatic blocks of glass, the lower tiers of which are curved at their base, as indicated at A, and the upper tier, which forms the neck of the bottle, being curved at B. Between the tiers 3 and 4 is a plain curved surface, 0, and in the tier 2 is a tablet-recess. D, for the name of the liquid in the bottle. The stopper E, in form and design, is made to correspond to the general contour of the bottle JAS. I3. LYON.
