DESIGN FOR CARPETING Specification forming part of Design No. 9,816, dated March 6, 1877; application tiled February 19, 1877.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that. I, HENRY HoRAN, of East Orange, Essex county, and State of New Jersey, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwrought into Ingrain and other Carpeting, in colors similar to'those painted on the drawings or photographs accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawings or photographs herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawings accompanying this specication'do give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a defined and thorough description of the nature ot' my inventionfand are sufficient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving to use my invention.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters latent, is- The configuration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting, in the form similar to the drawings or photographs accompanying this specification.
