DESIGN FOR SALVERS.

Specication forming part of Design No. 9,214, dated April 11, 1876; application filed Jenna-ry 25, 1876. {Term of Patent 7 years had to the accompanying photographic illustration making part of this specification.

The nature of my design is fully represented in the aceompanyin gphotographic illustration, to which reference is made.

The seiver is given the general form of a heait shape, as shown.

To this end the edge of the selver is composed of the segments of four circles. The edge at a is in the form of one segment, the curve being outward, and being broken at b to form an angle, as shown. The edge et c is in the form of an inwardly-curved segment, and the edge at d d is in the form of outwardly-curved segments of smell circles, these latter curves joining the ends of the segment forming the edge nt a to the ends of the segment forming the edge at c.

The salver may be engraved or ornnmented with n relief-border, as shown in the illustration, or may be ornnmeuted in any other desired manner. It is also preferably provided with handles, as shown. But I do not consider the pattern or engraving. employed in the ornamentation, nor the handles, to be essential elements of my design.

What, I claim as my invention is A salver having the form shown, viz: the sides a a curved ont from the handles, the point b, the rounded corners d d, and concave edge c, substantially as set forth.
