DESIGN FOR THE SURFACE ORNAMENTATION OF WALLS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No.18,446, dated July 10, 1888.

Application filed March 17,1888. I Serial No. 267,569. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, FREDERICK KOSKUL, of Williamsport, Lyeoming county, Pennsylvtr nia, have invented and produced a new and origi nal Design for the Surface Ornamentation of Walls, &r., of which the following is zispecifcation.

In the accompanying photographs, Figure 1 represents my design in a single row of figures. Figs. 2 and 3 represent said design re spectively in two rows and in six rows.

Similar letters of reference indicate like parts.

My design consists in the quadrangular elevation A. On the face of said elevation ap pearsa pyramid having fou r outwardly-curved or convex faces, B O D F. Near the edge of the elevation A the surface thereof appears slightly flattened, as at G, and the faces of the pyramid gradually curve to meet said Hat- :0 tened portion that is, the pyramid-fliers and said flattened portion do not appear to meet at a sharplydetined angle. The sides of the elevation A, are straight and perpendicular to the surface from which said elevation pro- 25 jects. The elevations A appear, as at A A", 860., to produce a row with intervening chair nels 13 between said elevations.

I claim- The design for surface ornamentation of Walls, Ste, substantially as herein shown and described.
