DESIGN FOR BASE FOR INKSTANDS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,870, dated December 28, 1875; application filed September 20, I575, [Term of Patent 3% years.]
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN V. BROWER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a Design for Bases for Inkstands, of which the following is a specification t The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration.
In the illustration, A represents sloping front; B B B B, sloping angled corners, and
G U curved sloping sides. The top plate is flat, as shown in the illustration. These sides, front, and corners may have any de sired ornamentation on them. 1) D represent pen-standards, which may be of any desired shape and ornamentation E E, openings, one or more of which may be made. F F represent all of the Grecian ornamentation, consisting of a rosette and fancy and curved lines wrought on the top plate from its sides to pen standards D D and openings E E. G represents all of the Grecian ornamentation, consisting of two rosettes and fancy and curved lines wrought on the top plate between the pen-standards D D and between the openings E E.
The distinctive features of my design are the configuration of the base and the ornamental devices on the top plate.
What I claim is- 1. The configuration of the base, consisting of the flat top plate, together with the sloping front A, sloping angled corners B, and the curved sloping sides (3, substantially as specified and illustrated.
2. In a design for base for inkstands, the ornamental device F F, substantiall as specilied and illustrated.
3. In a design for base for inkstands, the ornamental device G, substantially as specilied and illustrated.
