DESIGN FOR lNKSTAND-SUPPORTS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,362, dated June I, 1875; application filed May 14, 1875. [Term of Patent 7 years] CASE D.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES KITSCHELT, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a Design for Supports for I nkstands, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawings, to which reference is made, and in which Figure 1 is a side, and Fig. 2 a plan, "iew representing my design aforesaid.
The upper part of the base A is raised around the hexagonal cavities B, in which the inkstands G are placed. This base is in plan six-sided in its general contour, its two parallel side surfaces a being joined by the angular end surfaces 11, as more clearly represented in Fig. 2. At the junction of the end with the side surfaces are miniature human busts 0, each crowned with leaved miters, as
shown at D. Projecting centrally upward from each of the parallel sides a is a panel, E, upon which may be formed, in relief, the figure c of a flower, and each of the two acute ends of the base A may be formed, in relief, an angular shell-like figure,fi
I propose to make this design in bronze or other suitable metal or hard material.
\Vhat I claim as my invention is The design for an inkstand holder, comprising the six-sided base A and the miniature crowned human busts at thejunction of the ends and the parallel side surfaces of the base, the contour and conformation hcin g substantially as herein set forth.
