Specification forming part of Design No. 7,212, dated March 3, 1874; application filed Ottol'er 15. 1573. [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK W. Ilium-1, of New York city, in the State of New York, have invented a Design fora Casket, ol' whieh the following is a specification:
The design is represented in the aemnnpanying' figures.
Figure 1 is a horizontal section through the end portion alone. Fig. 2 is a side elevation, audi ig. 3 a plan View, of a casket having both ends according to my design.
Similar letters oi reference indicate corresponding parts in all the figures.
A A represent portions of the sides, which are parallel and straight. 13 represents the center of the rounded end, and U l) U l) ogee curves at the corners, or the junctions of the ends with the sides. The portion (J of the curve swells outward. The portion l) of the curve swells inward. E is the molding.
The amounts of the curvatures may vary somewhat without entirela defeating the eft'eet of my design. The curves 0 and l) together constitute what is known as an "oe' o curve. The parallel sides are tlarir or below upward, and the whole is n. third around the hottoln with a molding as shown. The llarine sides, rounded ends. and ogre curves, as deserihed and shown, form a very appropriate decoration. and produce a very line eli'ei'i.
