Be it known that I, FREDERICK I'I. PRETZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at the borough of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings, city and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Handles of Spoons and Forks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which- 1 Figure l is an elevation of the obverse side of the handle, and Fig. 2 an elevation of the reverse side of the handle.
As shown in the drawings, the handle is of tapering form; and the leading or material features of my design consist of the tortuous, curved, or wave-like edges and the floral decorations on the surfaces,predominating on the obverse side.
The design of the obverse side consists of the tortuous, curved, or wave-like edges Ct I),
the floral decorations, comprising a flower c at the broad end of the handle, the leaflet ornaments 2, 3, and 4-, and the plain surfaces 6.
The design of the reverse side of the handle comprises the tortuous, curved, or wave like edges a, b, the leaflet ornament d at the broad end of the handle, the leaflet ornament 5, and the plain surfaces 0 6.
Upon both the obverse and reverse sides of the handle and generally conforming to the tortuous, curved, wave-like edges are curved forms indicating stein configurations.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for the handle of a spoon or fork, substantially as shown and described.
