DESIGN FOR A SPOON OR FORK HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design NO. 32,914, dated. July 10, 1900. Application filed June 15, 1900. Serial No. 20,484. Term of patent 3i years.

Beit known thatl, FRED HAEENSACK, asubject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Sag Harbor, in the county of Suffolk and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Spoon or Fork Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aocompanyin g drawings, in which- Figure l shows the obverse side of a spoon, and Fig. 2 the reverse side thereof, bearing my new design, the tines of afork being shown in dotted lines.
The leading or characteristic feature of my design consists of the outline or contour of the handle, the edge thereof being decorated with a border consisting of alternating raised and sunken portions of approximately-equal widths, this border at the lower end merging into the fork or bowl of the spoon and at its upper end into a fanciful scroll, said border increasing in width toward the outer end of Referring to the drawings, A represents the handle of a spoon or fork, the contour or outline of which is in the form of compound curves and the edge of which is decorated or ornamented with a border consisting of alternating raised portions B and sunken portions C, said raised and sunken portions being approximately equal in Width. This border, at its lower end, merges into the bowl D of the spoon or into the fork, the outer end thereof merging into the fanciful scroll E, said outer orupper end of lthe border increasingin Width, as illustrated.
F represents a raised line on the inner edge of the border, and G a plain field or surface.
In Fig. 2 is shown the reverse side of the handle, around the edge of which are several raised lines H.
What I claim is- The design for a spoon or fork handle, substantially as shown and described.
