DESIGN FOR A GARIVIENT-SUPPORTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,235, dated October 29, 1901;
Application tiled September 11, 1901. Serial No. 75,107. Terni oi patent 3% years.
T0 @ZZ whom, it Hefty colt-cern,.-
Be it known that I, FRANCIS G. DIETZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Garment-Supporter, of which the following is a specification.
The leading and characteristic feature of my invention is the design for a garmentsupporter, made the subject of the illustration herein, in which- Figure l is a perspective view illustrative of my invention. Fig. 2 is a top plan View of the same, and Fig. 3 is a rear view.
As shown in the drawings, the plate l, which constitutes the base or clamping portion of the device, is bent at a point intermediate its ends, so as to form two plane substam tially parallel members 2 and 3, respectively. The side edge of the member 2 is bentinwardly to form a flange 4, and said member is also formed with indentations in its outer surface, at its upper and lower ends, which provide on the inner surface of said member projections 5. The said indentations and projections 5 terminate intermediate the upper and lower ends of the member 2. In the outer surface of the member 3, at the upper and lowerends thereof, are formed similar indentations, which provide on the inner surface of said member 3 projections 6, the said projections lying opposite to the projections 5 on the member 2 and terminating intermediate the upper and lower ends of said member 3.
Secured to the member 2 of the base or clamping portion l is a supporting-hook 7. The same extends downwardly from its point of connection with said member 2, so as to form a downwardly-facing loop or recess S. It is then bent upwardly to form the up wardly-facing loop or recess 9 and is then bent downwardly again to form the downr wardly-facing loop or recess 1Q.
Vhile my invention has been described as being intended for a garment-supporter, it is obvious that the same may be applied to other uses.
Having now described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a garment-supporter, sub stantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence'of two subscribing witnesses.
FRANCIS G. DIETZ.
