DESlGN FOR A PORTABLE BASKET-GRATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,217, dated October 22, 1901.
Application filed September 23, 1901. Serial No. 76,297. Term of patent 7 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, W'ILLIAM E. FITCH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Louisville, in the county of Jetferson and State of Kentucky, have invented and produceda certain new and original Design for Portable Basket-Grates, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This invention relates to what is known in the trade as a portable basket-grate for fireplaces.
In the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, the invention is'illustrated in perspective View.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a basket of round bars of elliptical curvature, with vertical end posts terminating in outwardly and laterally curved portions tipped with spherical ornaments and having reversely-curved feet. The back is rectangular, with an outer upper cymatium molding and an inner fluted molding and next to that a beaded molding, within which is a conventionalized sunburst.
