PVz't/zesses': I.
UNITED STATES PATENT FFICE,
EDGAR E. MILLER, OF CANTON, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO THE OANTON PUMP COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A LEVER-STAND FOR STEAM-PUMPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,879, dated July 30, 1901.
Application filed June 10, 1901. Serial No- 64,052. Term of patent 7 years.
T0 all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDGAR E. MILLER, residing at Canton, in the county of Stark and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new, useful, and original Design foraLever- Stand for Steam-Pumps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The figure is a perspective view of the leyer-stand.
Similar numerals refer to similar parts throughout the drawing.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a top or ridge part 1, semicircular in section, with the convex face upward, from the sides of the ends of which ridge part descend and diverge, curving outward and downward, the respective corner parts or posts 2, which are joined at their lower ends by the bottom parts or bars 3, giving the general appearance of a V-tent with rounded ridge and sides, with the sides and ends open ,or, more strictly,
of a beehive, or of a Gothic arch, with its point 25 rounded, in section, from the lower corners of which converge, respectively, inward and curve downward the supporting-arms 4,Which join, respectively, the corners of a substantially square base or plate 5. The general effect of this shape or configuration is that of lightness and strength, with an appearance of housing or protecting the parts contained, and it gives a graceful finish to the pump to which it is attached.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isa The design for a lever-stand for steampumps, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
. EDGAR E. MILLER.
