UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY P. KOSTER, OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.
DESIGN FOR A SHAFT-IRON FOR BUGGY-SHAFTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,631, dated. June 4, 1901.
Application filed October 2A, 1900. $e1ia1N0. 34,222- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY P. KOSTER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Shaft- Irons for Bugg -Shafts, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof, which is a perspective View of shaftirons in which is embodied my reinforcing heel-plate, looking at the bottom thereof, so as to clearly show the configuration of the same.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the configuration 0f the reinforcing heel-plate B, which extends forward and back of the point of junction therewith of the brace-rod A,
the brace-rod being integral with the heelplate, thereby giving to the shafts when secured thereto greater strength at this point, where the ordinary shaft is usually weak and liable to break, and also giving the shafts a neat and light appearance.
Having described my invention, what I HARRY P. KOSTER.
