DESIGN FOR A GRAVE-MARKER SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,589, dated May 28, i901.
Application tied April 24, i901. serial No. 57,349. Term 0f paient 7 years.
To all whom, it muy concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY J. BLACKBURN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Akron, in the county of Summit and State of Ohio, have invented and prod ueed a new and original Design for Grave-Markers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure l is a plan View of my design, and Fig. 2 a sectional View 'raken on the line of Fig. l.
As shown in the drawings, my design consists, primarily, of a circular metallic plate having a bead A about the outer edge of one face and a concentric bead B Within, leaving an annular space between them. Within the inner circle is an eagle C, with outspread wings, with his claws grasping cross-flagstads D and E, the front one bearing the United 2o States flag and the other the Cuban flag. Above the head of the eagle and extending beyond the wings in each direction is a row of stars F. The wings of the eagle extend over the bead B of the inner circle. A perforated lug is placed on the back.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a grave-marker, as herein shown and described.
