WILLIAM R. CLARK AND HARVEY BOSWORTH, OF PLATTSBURG, AND WILLIAM G. BOSWORTH, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A CAR-AXLE-BEARING BACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,326, dated April 2, 1901.
Application filed March 5, 1901. Serial No. 49,974- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that we, WILLIAM R. CLARK and HARVEY BOSWORTH, residents of Plattsburg,in the county of Clinton, and WILLIAM G. BOSWORTH, a resident of the borough of Manhattan, in the city of New York, State of New York, citizens of the United States, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Car-Axle-Bearing Back,of which the following is a specification.
The essential feature of our design consists in a back for car-axle bearings, provided along the opposite edges of its recessed under face with undercut grooves, the opposite edges of the back being slightly swelled outwardly at their central portions and its upper face provided with a convex surface extending from near its opposite ends toward the center and with a central concave surface in the crown of said convex surface and an outwardly-extending projection at the center of the concave surface.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a view of the car-axle-bearing back in top plan. Fig. 2 is a view in edge elevation. Fig.
3 is a bottom plan view, and Fig. 4 is an end view.

What We claim is The design for a car-axle-bearing back, substantially as herein shown and described.
