DESIGN FOR A TURNED WOODEN BOX.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,120, dated. January 23, 1900. Application filed November 21, 1899. Serial No. 737,824. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it kn own that LWEBSTER O. ESTES, a citizen of the United States,residing at New York, iBrooklym) in the county of Kings and State )f New York, have invented and produced a 16W and original Design for a Turned Wooden Box, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying irawings, in which Figure 1 is an elevation; Fig. 2, a plan, and Fig. 3 a vertical section.

The general configuration of the box in plan .s round; and the leading features of my design consist in the conoidal surface subdivided by horizontal parallel approximately equidistant grooves, producing the effect of a surface composed of bands, and a deep semi- :ircular annular groove adjacent to the base )f the box.

The design of the box comprises the conoidal surface a and the V-shaped horizontal grooves I), placed approximately at equal distances apart and dividing up the conoidal surface and producing the efiect of bands of equal width.
