DESIGN FOR A DRESS-SHIELD FASTENER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,164, dated March 5, 1901.
Application filed February 9, 1901. $erial No. 46,753. Term of patent '7 years.
To (ZZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY B. LEVY, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of New York, borough of Man hattan,county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Dress- Shield Fastener, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, wherein Figure 1 is a perspective view of my newlydesigned dress-shield fastener, the tongue or prong on the reverse side being shown in dotted lines. Fig. 2 is a face view of said reverse side, Fig. 3 aside elevation, of the fastoner.
My design relates to that class of fasteners or pins which are adapted to attach dressshields and the like togarinents or for analogous uses.
The leading feature of the design consists in a plate having a tongue or prong on one side thereof rising from and extending lengthwise of the plate, two openings in said plate, and two prongs rising from and extending lengthwise of the plate on the side opposite the first-mentioned tongue or prong and in line with the openings in the plate, the lastnnentioned prongs being bent at an angle in line with their respective openings.
In the drawings, A indicates the plate forming the body portion of the pin or fastener. A is the tongue or prong at the back, and B B are the two prongs located, respectively, in line with the openings at a in the plate A. (See Fig. 1.) At. a portion of their length the prongs Bare bent inwardly, as at b, forming an angular point (see Fig. 3) in line with the openings a.
What I claim is- The design for a dress-shield fastener, substantially as herein shown and described.
