DESIGN FOR A WHIP-STOCK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,133, dated February 26, l1901.
Application filed December 20, 1900. Serial No. 40,592. Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that I, WILLIAM M. WEYGANT, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Central Valley, in the county of Orange and State of New York, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for a Whip- Steek, of which the following is a speeiieation.
The essential features of my design consist in a whip-stock having a butt portion eireular in cross-section, the said circular butt portion merging into a short portion having a pronouneed taper and polygonal in cross-section, the said pronounced tapered portion in turn merging into a portion having a mueh less pronounced taper polygonal in Cross-section and extending toward the tip.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l shows the whip-stock in elevation. Fig. 2 is an enlarged View, in side elevation, of adjacent portions of the circular and polygonal parts of the Whip-stock. Fig. 3 is a section -taken in the plane of the line 3 3 of Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 is a section taken in the plane of the line 4 4 of Fig. 2.
A represents the oireular portion at the butt of the whip-stock, a the short polygonal portion having the pronounced taper, and B the polygonal portion extending toward the tip with a less pronounced taper.
The design for a whip-steek, substantially as herein shown and described.
