INVENTDR 4 e ATTURNEY.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MARTIN LOGAN, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A HEEL-CUSHION.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 33,534, dated November 6, 1900.
Application filed October 11, 1900. Serial No. 32,789. Term of patent '7 years.
5 York, have invented and produced a new and riginal Design for Heel-Cushions, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a plan view of a rubber cushion, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken on the line X X of Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of a curved depression or cavity in the central field of the cushion having a smooth and flattened circular rim or edge extending above the surface of said cushion, of a raised flange or border around the outer edge of the cushion, the flattened and roughened surface of which is in the same plane as the surface of the circular border surrounding the central depression, and of nipples distributed between the outer raised edge or border and the central depression, the outer free ends of said nipples lying in the same horizontal plane with the surface of the central circular edge or border and outer border.
Referring to the drawings, A represents an outer flattened and raised border, the flattened surface being roughened or corrugated, as
shown at B.
O represents holes for the reception of nails or tacks. In the central field of the cushion is a circular and curved depression E, surrounded by a raised and flattened border or edge F, the surface of which is smooth. Between said central border F and outer border A are distributed a number of nipples Gr, the outer ends of said nipples and the surfaces of said borders A and F all lying in the same horizontal plane.
H represents a central nail or screw hole.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a heel-cushion, as herein shown and described.
