Be it known thatl, PERLEY F. IIAZEN, a citizen of the United States,residing at St. Johnsbnry, in the countyot' Caledonia and State of Vermont, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Scale -Weight, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for scale-weights; and it consists in the article hereinafter described, and referred to in the appended claim.
In the drawings which illustrate the invention, Figure 1 presents a plan view of a scaleweight embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a cross-section of the same.
In the drawings, A represents the scaleweight as a whole,l1aving the open-ended slot B and the raised central portion 0, formed with a deep groove d around it, the weight being cut away underneath, as shown at E,
and the upper walls F extending beyond the body of the central portion. From the inner end of the open-ended slot B raised curved ribs H extend to the bead F.
The essential feature of the invention consists in the weight of the shape and con figuration herein shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a scale-weight, substantially as shown and described.
