Description

@itiniterl tant' i at ent s. Messe-m- @Him HARRISON EATON, OF AMHERST, NEW HAMPSHIRE.
Design No. 3,304, dated January 5, 1869.
DESIGN Fon A sTovE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all persons to whom these presents may come:
Be it known that I, HARRISON EATON, of Amherst, in the county of Hillsborough, and State of New Hampshire, have invented or produced a new Ornamental Design for a Stove; and I do hereby declare the same to be fully described in the following specificat-ion and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which- Figure l is a perspective elevation of the stove, the same exhibiting the top, front end, hearth, one side, and three of the legs.
Figure 2 is a perspective elevation, exhibiting the rear end, the other side, the top, and three of the legs.
In this design each ofthe sides of the stove has two duplex panels in bas-relief, each being composed of one rectangular base-panel, A, and two pointed-arch panels, B B, raised in relief on the base-panel. rlhe edges of each ofthe panels are moulded or formed ith mouldings.
The back of the stove has a single plane panel in bas-relief, C. The said panel, as Well as each of the base-panels of the duplex panels of the sides, springs from a recessed panel, whose edges are bounded by mouldings.
The top of the stove is in two halves or part-s, D E, hinged together, so that the front portion may be turned up at a right angle to the back part, the hinges a a being provided with stops, b b, to support in an upright position the movable top. The object of this formation of the top is to enable the tire-place of the stove to be fed with wood.
There is a kettle-opening in such movable part E, it being provided with a cover, c.
The hearth, bottom, and top plates of the stove are made with mouldings on their edges. The corners are round, and the legs are ornamented, as represented.
A tubular pipe-neck, d, opens through the part D of the top, and is erected thereon.
I claim the design, substantially as represented and described.
HARRISUN EATON. Witnesses:
BURT EMERSON, CHARLES RICHARDSON.
