SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,532, dated April 17, 1900.
Application filed March 22, 1900. Serial No. 9,806. Term of patent 14 years To all whom it 11mg concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY B. SARGENT, of the city and county of New Haven, in the State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Levers for Sash-Fasteners,of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description when taken in connection with the drawings which form a part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 represents a top view of a lever embodying my design; Fig. 2, a side view, and Fig. 8 a front view.
In all figures similar letters of reference represent like parts.
This invention relates to a design for levers for sash-fasteners; and it consists in the configuration hereinafter described and shown in the drawings above referred to.
The lever consists in a substantially semibowl-shaped plate, with a flat portion A, provided at one end with a vertical thumb-plate B. A curved and upturned flange C extends along the rear or curved side a of the flat portion A from. the thumb-plate B to the opposite end 11 of the plate, the upper edge e of the flange being inclined downwardly from substantially the plane of the top of the thumb-plate B to the plane of the flat portion A. \Vhere the upper edge 0 of the flange approaches the plane of the flat portion A a downwardly-in clined channel D extends in the flat portion A adjacent to the flange C and terminates in a concave line (I in the front side of the flat portion, so that throughout its length the flange forms a distinct feature from the flat portion.
Having now described my design, what I claim, and desire to secure byLetters Patent, 1s-
