JOHN \V. GIBHONS, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A RECURRENT ATTACHMENT FOR SYRINGES 0R DOUCHES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No, 32,152, dated January 30, 1900.
Application filed December 7, 1899. Serial No. 739,5'2'5. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it 11m concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN W. GIBnoNs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design or a Recurrent Attachment for Syringes or Douches; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
In the accompanying drawing the figure represents a perspective view of a recurrent attachment for syringes or douches embodying my design.
The leading feature of my design consists of a recurrent attachment having an approximately conical-shaped body portion terminating in an enlarged base and having an inlet projection or nipple arranged centrally in said base and an outlet projection or nipple at the extreme lower end or corner of said base, the lower innersurface of the wall of the body portion leading to said outlet projection, and a spraying nipple or head at the outer end of the said body portion, with a space be tween said spraying-nipple and the body portion.
1 in the drawing represents the body portion of the recurrent attachment, which is somewhat cone-shaped and formed with an enlarged flaring base 2, having a flat surface which is oval in shape, the outer end of the body portion being open, as at 3, and the enlarged portion being closed, as at 4. From about the center of the base4 projects an attaching inlet-nipple 5,and from the lower end or corner of said base projects the outlet-nippie 6. The inner surface of the Wall of the body portion leads or conveys to said nipple. A hollow spraying-tube 7 extends centrally through the body portion of the attachment and is formed with horizontaliy-arranged apertu res S for the discharge of the liquid being sprayed, the return current passing back into the body portion of the attachment through the opening 8 and along the inner lower wall of the body portion and then out at the discharge-nipple (5.
Having now described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a recurrent attachment, for syringes and douches, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
JNO. TV. GIBBONS.
W'itnesses:
