DESIGN FOR A FRUIT-BASKET.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM I. CRAWFORD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Sharpsville, in the countyof Mercer and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Fruit- Baskets; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it apperlains to make and use the same.
The invention has relation to a new and original design for fruit-baskets; and it con sists of a basket of the configuration shown in the accompanying drawing, in which I have illustrated my invention in perspective.
The leading features of my design comprise the body 1 of the basket, the base 2, and the stem 3, connecting the base to the body portion. The body portion is circular in crosssection and has its sides curved inward to meet the stem. The stem is circular in crosssection and tapers from its upper to its lower end. The base is slightly oval in cross-section. The base, stem, and body portion are formed of open-work or reticulated material, the meshes of which are in the form of diamonds. A ring is secured at the upper edge of the body portion and a ring is arranged around the circular edge of the base.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a fruit-basket as herein shown and described.
