SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 31,666, dated October 1' 7, 8
Application filed September 11, 1899. Serial No. 730,176. Term of patent 33 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Jenn 1". STEPPE, a citizen of the United Statesa'csiding at New York, borough of Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Chafing- Disl1Stands,ot'which the followingisa specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a chafingdish stand, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the top ring, taken on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of one of the legs orstandards, iakenon the line 3 23 of Fig. 1.
The leading or characteristic feature of my design consists of the shape or outline of the several parts going to make up the GOl'I] plete stand, the supporting-ring being round in cross-section, the legs or standards being also round in cross-section and tapering from their upper to their lower ends, ending in feet in the form of spheres, the lower smaller lampsupporting ring being flat on its inner surface and rounded or curved on its outer surface, and the brackets, which connect said lower ring to the legs or standards, being round in cross-section where they join the lower ring and flattened on their outer ends, where the legs or standards pass through them.
Referring to the drawings, A represents the upper or supporting ring, which is round in GIOSS-SOCLlOll, as shown in Fig. 3, and B the legs or standards, which are also round in crossseetion, as illustrated in Fig. 3, and which taper from their upper ends to their lowerends, where they end in the spherical feet 0.
I) is the lainp-supporting ring, and E the brackets, which connect said latter ring to the legs or standards 13, said brackets being rounded in cross-section where they join the ring I) and somewhat flattened at theirouter ends F, where the legs or standards pass through them.
Having fully described my invention, what Iclaiin as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is*
