DESIGN FOR A LAMP-BODY.

Beit known that I, ALVIN L. BUFFINGTON, a citizen of the United States, residing in the eityof Minneapolis, countyof Hennepin, State of Minnesota, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Lamp- Body, of which the following is a speccation, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Figure 1 is a right side eievation, Fig. 2 is a right side elevation with some parts broken away, and Fig. 3 is a front eievation, of a lampbody embodying my design.

By reference to said drawings it will be seen that the body 0I' case of the lamp-body is of spheroidal form, being a sphere truncated at one point to form its face and being provided at this face with a concavity or spheroidal depression. Through the center and 0n the axis of the concave face a gasburner projects outward.

The'generai appearance of the lamp-body is that of a ball or sphere, and its face is provided with a skeleton-Eke mask or guard, which completes the spherical form of the spheioidal body-section and incloses the concave face and its centrally-located and axially-projected gas-burner. NVhen the lampbody is viewed from its face o1' front, the gas-burner is seen projecting endwse toward the observer.

Lamps of the above design were partienlariy designed for use as acetylene-gas iamps for bicycles; but they are, of course, weil adapted for more general use.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-

The design for a lamp-body substantially as herein shown, and deecrhed.l
