Be it known that I, RICHARD CLARksoN, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of lhiladelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Buttonhole-Opener and liuttoner for Collars and Units, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which Figure 1 is a top or plan view of a buttonhole-opener and buttoner for collars and ends, showing my design; and Fig. .2 is a side elevational view thereof.
As illustrated in the drawings, the leading or material feature of the design consists in the outline or configuration of the buttonholeopener and buttoner.
As viewed in side.elevation the opener and buttoner is essentially straight or flat at the opener end a and rounded or upwardly curved atthebuttoner end I). \Vhen viewed in plan, the flat portion a is tapered toward its end a', which end is rounded. The curved buttoner end I is provided with an opening or slot b of irregular outline. At one side of the slot are two points or angles I) and l), and at the other side of said slot two similar points or angles 1) and If, staggered or arranged to the right of the angles I) and I).
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design fora huttonhole-openerand but toner for collars and cuffs, substantially as shown and described.
