DESlGN FOR A HANGER FOR WASHING-MACHINES.
lie it known that I, GEOINU'G \YASHIXGTON PALMER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of New York, (Brooklyn,) county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Hangers for\Vashing-lllachines, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
The figure is a perspective View of a hanger for washing-maehines, showing my new design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a flat body a, having an angular extension i) at its end, said body being provided with parallel longitudinal slots or openings (3 e, and the angular extension being projected upwardlyfroin one edgeof the body and extending transversely across the latter, as at b, and then continued outwardly and on a plane above and approximately pa rallel to the body, as at e. The body o is shown with a recessf, extending longitudinally from the rear edge toward the front edge centrally of the body and iuterniediately between the slots oropenings I, and the rear edges of the said reeessj' are beveled, as at The device constituting my new design for a hanger for washing-machines has the outer portion of the angular end extension I) pro jected downwardly from the top part and extending in parallel relation to the part if, as shown at 7:.
